Résumé

L'arrivée de Hitler au pouvoir s'accompagne des premières lois antisémites. Certains journalistes américains relatent les événements, notamment les autodafés des livres des auteurs juifs. À Berlin comme dans les capitales européennes, les consulats américains continuent d'appliquer la consigne du refus de visa à tout candidat à l'immigration susceptible de devenir une charge pour la collectivité.
