Alistair Appleton helps an aspiring writer who wants to make a dramatic relocation from the frenetic bustle of East London to the rural idylls of Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland. With a budget of £300,000, he's got his sights set on somewhere isolated that will inspire his creativity. Away from the houses, Alistair heads for the hills hoping to strike it lucky on a Scottish gold rush.
